This quote really hits me. I believe it to be 100% applicable to my life…and it should be to everyone’s. Although, I have a semi-hate/love relationship for the feeling of intimate love, I believe that it is that powerful that you can reach into another’s soul and grasp a piece of it. If you have the ability to retrieve that from a person…well, not necessarily retrieve it, but find it. If you can recognize another person’s soul and appreciate it, I believe that is love. I believe it can also happen in friendship, but that’s a different sort of soul searching. But they all result in connectedness. Finding someone’s soul creates a connectedness with that person. It’s such a rare thing to find and such a rare thing to know…another’s inner thoughts and the essence of that being. But I don’t want to know love again…not for a while. But I feel this quote so much and can completely vibe with it.
